Cynthia is a PhD candidate in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University. Her graduate studies have been supported by several prestigious federal and provincial scholarships, including the Doctoral Canada Graduate Scholarship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. She has presented her research at national and international conferences and published her work in peer‑reviewed scientific journals.

Training & Experiences

Cynthia has developed extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults facing diverse mental health challenges. At the Child Psychiatry Outpatient Department of the Jewish General Hospital, she conducted psychological assessments for concerns such as attention‑deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression. During her training at the Applied Psychology Centre at Concordia University, she provided both psychological assessments and individual therapy for young adults, using evidence‑based approaches to address issues including trauma, anxiety, obsessive‑compulsive disorder, and difficulties with assertiveness.

Current Work

Cynthia is currently completing her practicum at Elevate Psychotherapy and Wellness Clinic. She is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults with challenges related to anxiety, trauma, emotion regulation, and assertiveness.
