Education & Credentials
Kayla completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) at Concordia University. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Psychiatry at McGill University before returning to Concordia to complete a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. She is now pursuing her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University. Her dissertation research focuses on developing evidence‑based video resources to support parents in implementing behaviour parent training for children living with ADHD.
Training & Experiences
Kayla has experience supporting children and adolescents across a variety of professional and clinical settings. At the Applied Psychology Centre at Concordia University, she gained training in conducting neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments. As part of a research project at the Montreal Children’s Hospital, she worked as a coach for youth with ADHD participating in both Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and peer support groups. Kayla also volunteered at Confident Kids Camp, an intensive therapy program for children with selective mutism, where she provided psychoeducation, facilitated goal‑setting, and supported children through individualized exposure practices. In addition, she obtained certification as a Registered Behaviour Technician, where she supported children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by helping increase adaptive behaviours and reduce challenging behaviours.
Current Work
Kayla is currently completing her practicum at Elevate Psychotherapy & Wellness Clinic under the supervision of licensed clinical psychologists. She is passionate about creating a safe, supportive, and client‑centered environment where youth and their families feel empowered to express themselves authentically. Drawing on warmth and evidence‑based approaches, she helps children and adolescents build practical skills, access resources, and work toward their personal goals with confidence.
