Education & Credentials

Annabelle is in the final stages of her Doctoral degree in Psychology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), where she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2020. Throughout her academic journey, she has been recognized for her research and academic achievements with several awards and scholarships, including the Frederick Banting and Charles Best Graduate Scholarship from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research. She has contributed to numerous peer reviewed publications and has presented her work at both national and international research conferences.

Past Experience

Annabelle completed her predoctoral internship at the McGill University Health Centre, providing individual and group psychotherapy within the Mood and Anxiety Program and the Bariatric Surgery Psychology Service. In this role, she worked with adults presenting with a wide range of concerns, including trauma related disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, and disordered eating, and she supported individuals undergoing metabolic bariatric surgery through pre and postoperative adjustment. She also completed a psychotherapy practicum at the Psychological Services Centre of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

Current Work

Annabelle is currently a senior OPQ registered student therapist working under the supervision of licensed psychologists at Elevate Psychotherapy and Wellness Clinic. Her clinical interests include trauma related, anxiety, eating, mood, obsessive compulsive, and personality disorders, as well as supporting clients experiencing interpersonal difficulties, low self esteem, emotional dysregulation, challenging life transitions, and perfectionism. She takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing on evidence based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT), and is fluent in both French and English.
