Education & Credentials

Sara Marshall is a PhD student in School/Applied Child Psychology at McGill University. Her research focuses on empowering educators to better understand and support students with brain injury as they return to school. She has also contributed to a number of peer-reviewed publications and holds a graduate scholarship from the Social Sciences & Humanities Research Council.

Training & Experience

Sara has experience working with youth and young adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. Through her training at the McGill Psychoeducational & Counselling Clinic and in high schools at the Lester B. Pearson School Board, she has supported clients through psychoeducational assessments for concerns such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, intellectual disability, anxiety, and depression. She has also provided individual therapy to teens and young adults for grief, depression, anxiety, and social anxiety.

Current Work

Sara is currently working at Elevate Psychotherapy and Wellness Clinic under the supervision of Dr. Jake Shenker, clinical psychologist, where she offers individual therapy to children, teens, and young adults facing a wide range of emotional and behavioural challenges. She aims to create a warm and welcoming therapeutic environment and is committed to using evidence-based approaches while adapting her work to meet each client’s needs.
