Group Therapy

Group-based therapy provides a safe and supportive space for a small group of individuals with a shared mental health concern to process their experiences, thoughts, and feelings with those facing similar challenges. Group therapy is often led by two practitioners who offer skills-based training to address a particular set of symptoms, and also facilitate group discussions that promote group cohesion and connectedness.

Here's what you can expect from group therapy:

Community and support:

Connecting with others who share your experiences can be validating and comforting. Group therapy provides a sense of community and support that can help you feel less alone.

Learn from others:

Hearing about other people’s experiences and coping strategies can be a valuable learning opportunity. You may find new perspectives that can help you navigate your own challenges.

Improved social skills:

Group therapy provides a structured environment where you can practice communication and interpersonal skills in a safe and supportive setting. This can help you build confidence and improve your relationships with others.

Effective outcomes:

Research has shown that group therapy can be as effective as individual therapy for many mental health conditions. By participating in group therapy, you may see improvements in your mental health and well-being.

Cost-effective:

Group therapy is often less expensive than individual therapy, making it a more accessible option for many people.
